Ms. Marie Jourgen B. Endaluz, Partner, is a two-time Finalist in the Asian Legal Business Philippine Law Firm Awards from 2023-2024 in the Young Lawyer Category for her leadership roles in major transactions handled by the Firm including the Firm’s Environment Social and Governance (ESG) advocacies. She is also a Recommended Lawyer in the Legal 500 Asia Pacific report in 2024.
Ms. Endaluz has focused her law practice on mergers and acquisitions, energy, government bidding and procurement, project finance, securities, and intellectual property. Her core competencies have been applied in various fields such as real estate, energy, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and business process outsourcing. These core competencies have been recognized through various awards and recognitions in the deals she co-led with the other Partners in the Firm, including investments in renewable energy and sustainable projects, where the Firm was recognized as the Private Equity and Venture Capital Law Firm in 2024 and M&A Deal of the Year in 2023 by the Asia Legal Business, and Top 4 Private Equity and Venture Capital Law Firms in the Philippines by the Asia Business Law Journal in 2021.
Since 2015, Ms. Endaluz has been involved in major antitrust work, including merger control compliance with the Philippine Competition Commission for mergers and acquisitions with transaction values ranging from Php1 Billion to more than Php 100 Billion. In addition to merger control compliance, Ms. Endaluz also handled matters relating to competition enforcement, which included rendering advice on cartel behavior, drafting of internal protocols for antitrust dawn raids, and risk management programs for enforcement activities.
She has also been part of the teams that acted as legal advisors in various government biddings for the design, construction, financing, operation, and maintenance of telecommunications projects, water projects, port projects, and railway projects.
In the field of securities law, Ms. Endaluz has also handled the listing of various securities and equity instruments in the Philippine Stock Exchange and the Philippine Dealing & Exchange Corp.
Ms. Endaluz has also strategically expanded her legal practice to include a focus on environmentally sustainable projects, reflecting the dynamic changes in the legal landscape towards greener alternatives. Her portfolio now encompasses a diverse range of renewable energy initiatives, including investments in rooftop solar systems and electric vehicles (EVs). This shift aligns with global trends aimed at reducing carbon footprints and promoting sustainable development. Investments in these sectors can lead to job creation in engineering, construction, installation, operation, and maintenance of renewable energy technologies, which is vital for local economies. By facilitating these investments, Ms. Endaluz helps her clients contribute to economic development while aligning with global sustainability goals.
